We asked NCMA member Mandy Leeson from Suffolk what she thought of the vests.

How do you use your High Visibility vests?

I use them for all of our daytime outings such as museums, the park, the zoo; anywhere that there may be crowds of people or roads. My friend also uses the vests for the school run in the winter months, so that children can be spotted easily.

There is space for my phone number on the back strip of the vest, which provides additional peace of mind. The vests make going out so much easier and more organised as you know immediately where all your children are at a glance.

The vests have become one of those items that I simply couldn't be without!

How do they help you in your business?

They're worth their weight in gold! When I used to go out with the children, people sometimes didn't realise that we're all together and barge past - with vests it's obvious we are a group and all of the children in vests are in my care.

The vests mean that you demonstrate your professionalism to the parents of children in your care, whilst making it clear to the public that you are running a childcare business.

How do the children react to them?

All the children are really happy to wear them - the last time I went out with them, the oldest children (who are 8 and 11) even asked to wear them!

They are also very good for the younger children that I look after as they can't pull them off easily and they do not restrict their movement or distract them from playing.
